An Invitation to Bid for TCYPAA!!
“In 1983, the Tennessee Conference of Young People in Alcoholics
Anonymous (T.C.Y.P.A.A.) was founded for the purpose of furthering
the principles of A.A. among young people.”* The Conference
is a joyful weekend of sharing experience, strength, and hope
among the young and young at heart in A.A. It is held annually,
typically in February.
The Advisory Council would like to extend an invitation to the
young people in your area to bid on the Conference.
If the young people of A.A. in your area decide they want to
bid, they should plan to present a “bid packet” [consisting
of documentation on how they are meeting each of the Bidding Requirements
(see Bylaws) at the Memphis 2008 conference.
If possible, we’d like to get the bid packets on Friday
night at the Conference. We will hear bids on Saturday morning,
and make a decision on where the 2009 TCYPAA will be held. This
will be announced at a speaker meeting on Saturday night of the
Conference.
Please share this invitation along with the bidding requirements
and email the advisory council members in your area (see Contacts).
Don’t hesitate to send any questions! Please consider bidding
for TCYPAA. The young people of A.A. in Tennessee need you!
Thanks!
